Brand New Design

The most noticeable change on the ProfStep website is our completely revamped design, showcasing a fresh and modern look. We've paid attention not only to a design that highlights our refreshed brand but also to an attractive and intuitive interface.

The clean, updated layout allows users to find information quickly and effortlessly. With more images, bolder fonts, and a new color scheme, our website reflects the changes in our brand – marking a new chapter in our story. Moreover, our interface seamlessly adapts to any device, ensuring a smooth user experience.

We implemented a new design with a focus on UX and UI, considering the website's hierarchy and user interaction. Our approach was guided by understanding what captures users' attention, ensuring that the design reflects our brand essence. We've dedicated not one day to perfecting our website's design because it's the first impression users receive, influencing their decision to stay or leave.

And while not everyone will see what's behind good-looking pictures, we've still paid attention to the code, to implement high-standard technologies, so the strict and fair decider of the website's fate - Google, will like our website too.

Cosmic metrics of the Profstep PWA Magento website on tablets Cosmic metrics of the Profstep PWA Magento website on mobile devices

-  Rich Snippets – juicy previews that make visitors want to learn more. Our team has started working on this to ensure not only your interest but also providing comprehensive and engaging information for you.

- The co-pilot of our website – meta tags , which help our site get enough attention, guiding search engines on what’s on each page.

-  Canonical URLs  – these addresses distinguish our content, ensuring it’s unique and unparalleled.

Our Challenges:

Undoubtedly, no journey is without its challenges and difficulties, and we are no exception.

Performance and PWA Studio - The Saga of the Tricky Application

Optimizing PWA Studio was one of the first and most important challenges. The application was too cumbersome, but determination and a few cups of coffee completely shattered the bulkiness.

“Now it runs smoother than a developer’s machine during a demo”
joked Valerii, one of the developers.

Navigating the Maze

Server-side routing with UPWARD was another complex task, so we meticulously developed a routing system, ensuring that every path would be efficient and error-free.

The Quest for Speed

Caching GraphQL was like troubleshooting a random failure in the middle of the night when every issue demanded immediate attention and swift solutions. The process of resolving data retrieval issues is undoubtedly useful and important.

Another detail was to optimize the JS - Webpack, by cutting unnecessary components into cubes. This was crucial for the website’s loading time.

“Now our packages don’t exceed a startup’s budget”
jokes Alex.

  • How much time was spent on development?

The development of our website took approximately three months. Typically, the average time for website development ranges from 90 to 200 days, depending on the complexity of the project.

  • What are the requirements for a project of this nature?

Each project involves numerous individual tasks, and clients frequently provide their feedback and requests. Generally, we have observed that clients most often prioritize the following:

    • A clean, appealing design
    • Effective SEO for market visibility
    • High performance, which improves SEO rankings and reduces Google advertising costs
  • How many team members are required to undertake such a project?

The number of team members required depends on the project's scope and timeline. For our website, the team consisted of three full-stack developers, three frontend developers, a designer, a senior developer + a team lead.

For similar projects, a typical team might include:

    • 2 frontend developers
    • 2 backend developers (or 1 frontend and 3 full-stack developers)
    • 1 designer
    • 1 project manager

However, the specific requirements can vary. If the project schedule is flexible and tasks are well-planned, a smaller team can suffice. In such cases, a team of 1 frontend developer and 1 backend developer, or a single full-stack developer, can be enough.

  • What level of experience do developers need to create a website similar to this one?

Our website was developed by a team consisting of three frontend certified Magento developers, three full-stack certified Magento developers, and a senior manager.

For a similar project, the following levels of experience are typically required:

    • Frontend Developers: Junior level
    • Backend/Full-Stack Developers: Middle level
    • Senior Manager: Senior level

This mix ensures that the team has the right balance of skills and experience to handle both the development and management aspects of the project effectively.

  • How can we get a website like this?

First, you need to determine the purpose of your website and what you aim to achieve with it. Consider your approximate budget as well. Once you have a clear idea, you can email us. We will gladly answer any questions you have and assist you in elevating your online presence.
